A luxurious 4-star boutique lodge twice awarded Irish Lodge of the Year

Ballybunion B&B: 19th Lodge Ballybunion is a golfer's paradise, aptly named for its enviable location, directly opposite Ballybunion's famous links and on the Wild Atlantic Way. Your host, Mary Beasley, is justifiably proud of the fact that over 80% of her bookings are repeat business. This speaks for itself and reflects her genuine hospitality and attention to detail.

Green fee concessions are available for Ballybunion course. Gourmet breakfasts are served in the dining room with a panoramic view of the links. After playing Ballybunion for the first time, a man would think that the game of golf originated here. Located on the Shannon estuary, it is a true seaside links course, virtually treeless and a course of sharp contours throughout. There appears to be no man-made influence. It looks like a course laid out on land back in the 10th century.

When we arrived at the 19th lodge we were given the warmest welcome imaginable. Mary and James are the nicest people around and really made us feel at home. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. Mary and James made sure that our every needs were taken care of. My brother and two of my friends took a trip golfing all around the southwest coast of Ireland for about a week and all I can say is that this was by FAR the best accommodation we stayed at. When in Ballybunion look no further than the 19th lodge!

Great location, great night and wonderful people. Stayed one night at the 19th lodge and everything was better than we hoped, Mary had all of our rooms set up, accommodations were first rate, and knowing we were behind schedule had made reservations for us at the best restaurant in town. She took great care of us when we returned just a little late and feeling no pain – but, for the record, we did all make the 7 am tee time. Highly recommend the 19th Lodge to anyone going to Ballybunion, we will definitely be staying here again.

Words are hardly adequate. This place is fantastic. Suites are spacious and well laid out. The bathrooms are magnificent – the shower was the best I have ever experienced. Breakfast was delicious. Above all, Mary and James are the most warm-hearted hosts you could hope for. They have years of taking great care of their guests, and it shows. This place deserves six stars. Room Tip: Woosnam suite is terrific.

19th Lodge is like visiting family. Mary and James are the nicest people you will ever meet and they run a first class establishment. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and spacious. Breakfast is always good. They just upgraded wi-fi and it now works great, so the only thing that I found less than perfect in the past is no longer an issue. I have stayed with Mary and James on three occasions now, one trip per year, and after the first one, staying at 19th Lodge has been one thing that I built my vacation around

I must say – driving up to the hotel I was a bit nervous. The outside seemed a “normal” hotel. Step inside finds anything but. James can’t do enough to please – “let me help you with your luggage”. “What time is your golf, I will get you something prior to your tee time.” Etc etc. He is devoted and enthusiastic. Breakfast was tasty with salmon, eggs and much much more. Newly renovated rooms with down pillows & jacuzzi tubs, the old school ambience has been preserved. A perfect 5

We have returned to this cozy B & B three times. It’s our favorite one in Ireland. Mary and James Beasley embody the welcoming spirit of the Irish — they are warm, humorous, and will do whatever is needed to accommodate guests. They made all the arrangements for golf, caddies, and restaurants, and recommended sight-seeing in the area. The rooms at their B & B are spacious and airy, and the breakfast room is beautiful with views of the Cashen course and Ballybunion clubhouse. The best part of any stay is being with the delightful Beasleys.Their inn reflects their commitment to Irish hospitality.

The 19th Lodge is a truly unique and special place built through the hard work of the Beasley Family of Kerry, Ireland. Our room St. Andrews was very nice, comfortable and clean. Our breakfast was very good – even my picky 4-year-old cleaned his plate! The price was great for the level of accommodation. Most important are the hosts, Mary and James, who do an outstanding job managing the place and ensuring their guests are happy. I would highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Kerry, especially those playing Ballybunion.

If you’re staying at Ballybunion – the 19th Lodge is the BEST! James and Mary made us feel absolutely at home. The accommodations are very comfortable – spacious rooms with spacious bathrooms. The breakfast was outstanding – must try their Irish Pancakes! We had an early tee time at Ballybunion – which was great because it was ~500m down the road. All around wonderful stay.

Very comfortable accommodations with very pleasant proprietors Mary & James. Mary was very kind and efficient at making dinner reservations, taxi service and making sure everyone was on schedule esp if they had tee times. Almost walkable to Ballybunion golf courses. Water pressure in the shower was amazing. Everyone was complimenting it esp after a day of golf.

The hospitality we received from Mary & James was a highlight of our Ireland visit! They are a shining example of Irish hospitality. Mary arranged reservations for us at excellent local restaurants every evening, and directed us to delightful nearby attractions. Of course, being close enough to walk to the clubhouse, and watch golfers play Ballybunion from our windows, made this the perfect golf destination.

My wife and I enjoyed much the stay at Tom Watson Suite of the 19th Lodge. Best choice to play at the Ballybunion old. We liked the calm but friendly ambience there. Pity to leave after the short night stay. Mary, we will be back.

I was only at 19th Lodge for a brief stay late check in, early check out. The owners/operators are great, very accommodating. The location is right across the street from Ballybunion Golf Club. The room was nice, got a great night sleep.

This is not our first stay at 19th Lodge and I don’t know why I would ever consider staying anywhere else while in or around Ballybunion. Mary and James are the most cordial hosts we’ve ever encountered at any B & B. The accomodations are spacious and extremely comfortable. Across the street from the golf course, a short jaunt to town and a great breakfast, what more could you ask. We stayed in the Tom Watson Mini Suite overlooking the Cashen course. Mini is not how I would describe it. Huge and beautifully furnished. Awesome shower and bathroom. Stay at 19th or you’ll be missing part of what makes Ireland so great. Now Mary, what are you going to do with your “horse race” winnings!!! It’s the best

Magnificient place with very friendly owners. We were a family with 2 children and got an upgrade to a suite so that the parent’s room was next to the children’s. Mary took the time to tell us where to go for dinner even if she was very busy because the house was booked up. The breakfast was very rich and wonderful. We had a great time and would like to come back. Thank you very much and all the best to you, Mary and James Markus and Family

Great stay at the 19th Lodge in Ballybunion. Mary and James were wonderful hosts. They went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. Brought us a bottle of chilled water when we returned from dinner in Ballybunion. Also made to order breakfast the next morning was delicious. Only regret is that we only stayed one night. Wish we could have stayed longer. If ever in the area again we will definitely stay at the 19th lodge.

Very comfortable and friendly property adjacent to the Ballybunion Golf Course. We stopped for the night during our tour of the Wild Atlantic Coast and we were very pleased to be upgraded to a suite. We had a splendid dinner at the nearby Strollers Bistro. Best meal of our entire trip.

Fate was shining on us when we booked this hotel - heavenly. Absolutely LOVED this hotel. Mary and James were so welcoming and friendly on arrival, the hotel was spotless, so clean. Our room was out of this world, the beds so comfortable, the pillows were heavenly and the shower was superb. It was so quiet as it was slightly off the main road so there was zero traffic noise. Breakfast was all freshly cooked, the pastries all homemade and divine. We could have stayed here all summer.

Exceptional. The hosts are ready to help with anything. The location is excellent; whether you're enjoying a round of golf in the area, exploring the wild Atlantic way, or simply relaxing for a while. You'll find nice view of golf on the nearby course, exceptional breakfasts, and superior rooms. I will find a reason to return (hopefully soon).
